spatial and social considerations

the necessary spaces, places, and activity opportunities

previous | next    (1/4)

We've identified the types of physical spaces needed as we start to develop inHabitLA's living environment.

personal: even though we're a community, you do need your own space.
private: your individual dwelling. keep your doors and windows open all you like, but it's yours.
semi-private: your porch, yard, etc; bridge the gaps of how we interact
public: facilities for the community; meeting house, laundry, common kitchen, etc; what brings us together.
open/social: flexible, outdoor spaces for group activies; picnic tables, bbq, etc.
open/unprogrammed: from a field to a yard, unbuilt space for you enjoy.
utility: storage, parking, equipment rooms -from the outset we're being mindful of deliniating the kinds of spaces that'll facilitate successful living.
